I picked up like mother, like daughter and ended up catching up in a single day. I just couldnt put my phone down. The story is so good, and the characters really draw you in. It’s got this perfect mix of drama and emotion that keeps you hooked the entire time. Honestly it deserves 5 stars for how it kept me glued to my screen. Def worth the read

That’s what living with domestic violence is like. It doesn’t have to include physical violence. You already walk on eggshells with words, actions, about money, about your siblings and how the “whole family is perceived.” The common phrase heard is “I brought you into this world. I can take you out,” isn’t parenting. It’s threats. And it’s horrifying to live in a house like that because adults won’t believe you over a parent, and kids can’t help you. And sometimes there’s murder.

I’m grateful for the uploads and translations. I like the art and the choice to omit the mothers face adds to her character.

I like how the MC’s character changes slowly. As she attempts to escape her carefully manipulated environment, we are always left questioning if what she has is real or if it was carefully predicted by her mother from the start. Although I wish the story pacing was a bit faster at times, I think this is a good read.
