I love this translator, I swear. Usually they refrain from making too many notes to avoid disrupting the pace of the story, and I can see how that can be bothering to some people. But for me it feels great to be able to read his thoughts in the exact context where it matters, rather than at a footnote. Man I just realized I miss the Tsukkomi comment system. And while looking through Google to remind myself of the name, I also learned that I love the Japanese style of stand-up comedy “Boku & Tsukkomi”, I just didn’t know its name lol.
But because we don’t have that system here, you’ll have to sit through my comments in order, and imagine where I would put them on the manhwa (?). Or you could just skip past me because I yap too much (??).
So maybe I was mistaken in my previous comment (last chapter), I think I forgot that the blondie calls everyone by pet names, and “Yoiru” is just her way of calling FemMC, not a change from the translator. I’m saddened to see her falling for the other bitch’s ploy, but I hope she can make up with MC and become their friend again.
…Nice angle btw.
I also love how MC doesn’t take shit and just stands up against Ruha.It feels vey refreshing to see a “no bullshit allowed” kind of mentality for an MC. They’re very strong mentally, and even capable of self-reflecting, adapting, fixing the gaps in their mindset. It’s not as boring as “guy turns girl, tries to keep his masculinity intact but accidentally becomes more feminine”, this MC doesn’t feel their gender threatened, and instead recognizes that they have now a unique chance to become something that previously was impossible due to that very same gender wall, and takes that opportunity by the horns. THIS is inclusiveness done right, and not something forced into the story. It feels natural, organic, part of the story and the characters, not a replacement for those elements. If by the end of this manhwa they decided to stay as a girl and do a full transition, I would believe it. I would even be happy for them, that they found their true sense of self.
And speaking of things that make sense, Ruha’s crashout is perfectly valid, although I thought MC was going to go down the “we’re family” route. C’mon, both their bodies look alike (if you take away the beauty factor), and it wouldn’t be a complete lie since past life and all that. But instead MC said something that left Ruha speechless and will most likely come back to bite him in the ass later. Goddamn, this manhwa is good.
Thanks for the chapter.
What do you think? 😊
