Sirius is a handsome nobleman who has given up on romance and plans to remain single. After his brother’s death, however, he is forced to temporarily take over the Marquis estate. He enters a marriage of convenience with Saphinia, agreeing that theirs will be a “white marriage” with no children. But Saphinia wants to adopt a little girl named Anna. Sirius reluctantly agrees, believing that adopting a daughter without inheritance rights will cause no problems. Then rumors begin spreading that Anna may actually be Saphinia’s hidden daughter. As Sirius spends more time with Anna, the supposedly cold and temporary family gradually becomes something much more genuine. The story combines romance, family comedy and mystery surrounding Saphinia’s past.
