    Just my assumption on why baek dochan came to China.

    So laicha originally made/own by baek dochan as his business good in sunjin trade(advance trade). So technically ryukai
    may have produced a copy product of laicha or stole it. Hence that's why Baek dochan came to China and we might see a duel between Baek dochan and lichen later in the story.
