A modern classic of the genre that should be a basis, others follow.
this read doesn’t have anything special going on for it, it uses a lot of cliches, and a fairly bland plotline, however it doesn’t fall behind due to those shortcomings. the pacing is even, over the course of the read. the art is adequate, and it doesn’t FEEL like they are using cliches. the main character isn’t bland to the point of being a self-insert while also not being a caricature. and my favorite part, is that the plotlines don’t drag on, and killing isn’t a taboo.
I will say that there are some people that I feel could have lived, having an impact on the story, but I understand that it would inevitably just be padding. they don’t try to bloat the main characters strength, similarly to wild west murim, and instead show what he does.
10/10 would read again/keep reading
The character designs and plot are amazing, though this plot is common and could be considered very similar to the return of mount hua/the return of the blossoming blade but it has it’s very own spin on it with some of the techniques
