I mean he is right that wars occur for absurd reasons. MC naturally don't have an answer or bother to ask any other questions. MC had lost the argument and lashes out like a child. We all know he wins but now he wins just because he is MC. There are no arguments or him riling the bad guy up with a huge counter.
Did MC even change anything? He rallied two different factions together against a common enemy, but what about afterwards? What should prevent this from happening again?

What argument? Mc wanted to know what motivated them and so he always asked the dark heavens executives when he had the chance. Leader answered he just likes fighting so he created conflict and so the discussion ends.
Sure, Jo probably thinks it's a ridiculous reason, but it's not like he planned on a debate to make the guy understand why he's wrong and give up. What winning or losing?
Why would he win only bcs of being an mc? Bcs dark heavens guy is set in his ways? Such a weird leap in logic.
But really not much changed. And we know it for quite a while now too. I guess that's the moral of the story. One person can't change much. We need to work together.
