Damn. This was a 10/10 ch. Most enjoyable ones in this manwha for sure. Pure adrenaline and the suspence as well ,the serum bottle still had a little bit of liquid , did vinny throw it or drink it ? Just how good is the grim reaper ? What did vinny just do at the end going offcourse , how were they planning to fix match ?

You do realize we've had 500+ chapters of Jay's development, and this Grim Reaper guy who does 0 practice and used to be a random background character is better than him – is a bigger ass pull right? Do you read this manga for MC to lose when it matters, even though he has already lost multiple times?

go back to the times he's lost, they always give some stupid reason why he jay lost to make it seem like he was always the better biker lol. Even the loss against vinny they legit tried to play it off as vinny having the better bike lol. then he went and won a race against japans best bicycling team in his first try. He's a walking plot armor with losses that only came due to convenient means rather than the opponents being outright better lol

He's a genius. He can't just lose everytime to random people, and they have to show that even if he loses, he's still a genius, it's just that he also has his vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
also, it's not true that they make up reasons to show that he's the "better cyclist" when he loses. He lost to Owen when Owen was riding a trashy bicycle because he was outskilled. They lost to the delivery boy and the old guy in USA by like… 2 entire minutes because they were outskilled, no excuses provided.

it's owen lol. vinny won against jay and they gaave the shitty excuse thaat it was because of bike diff. The USA one also has context and owen did not even use a trash bike
I’m not saying you’re wrong because it’s just my opinion. I still think they are both on the same level. However, since Jay is the MC it’s obvious that he will win. That’s why I’m rooting for Hyuk, I’ve been a Jay fan throughout the whole manhwa can’t a guy switched teams without getting heat. Have a blessed day fam.

All the stories have a certain plot armor with MC. Its logical because in the end the MC usually wins… but it doesn't seem to me at all that WindBreaker has an exaggerated plot armor.
In fact, Jay has lost a lot, even being considered a genius and having that typical "perfect untouchable MC" personality.A lot of enemies stronger than him without the slightest background, like the one that is following him in this race, appear out of nowhere and make everything without effort when there were countless arcs of Jay's development to improve his level, which was already high in theory.
Being objective, I think that Hyuk has a much greater plotarmor than MC himself… the amount of nonsense he has done and still has the affection of all his people intact is. And being much newer with bikes than the supposed genius MC who had a thousand arcs of development, Hyuk is practically on the same level, with "the power of rage".

We get it, Jay's 1-inch drift is amazing, it's been said before 10 times. Its a writing tactic, but it's so obvious and getting annoying.

especially when it shows a older scene to make up space, like how we get the white haired guy saying how normal people gotta work hard and then another scene where he said vinny needs to dope someone, like why tf we seeing that scene if we wont even see who he doped or what he did about it? authors a natural at dragging.
Read Blue Lock they do the same thing. That's how sports manga do their pacing to help pad it out like any ordinary manga (Hajime no Ippo). It comes with the genre.
Plus this race is the last, usually, in sports manga these emotional last matches that will end the story get those flashbacks quite a lot to show the effort and shit like that to hype up the final.
So it's an exploit to take time and hype up the end of the story.I’ve pointed this out in previous chapters—the author keeps dragging the story with unnecessary dialogue that adds nothing meaningful to the race. Instead of focusing on the actual events unfolding, we get constant monologues or side characters stating the obvious, which slows everything down. It’s frustrating because characters remain in the same position for five or six chapters while we wait an entire week just to get more of the same. At this point, it’s mentally exhausting. The pacing needs to improve so the race can actually progress.
