Liora judged that one would need to access the River of Time as well, or at least possess extraordinary control over the power of time, to stop it.

He subconsciously turned around, intending to unleash his full strength to deal with the intruder.

His eyes widened as a beautiful face entered his vision.

"It’s... you..." The Divine Emperor pointed at Liora, unable to hide his inner shock.

He couldn’t understand what was happening.

Although Liora was certainly terrifying, this was because of her status as the Human Emperor.

As for her own strength?

It was hardly noteworthy to the once-Rank 13 Divine Emperor.

But what she had just achieved went beyond all his expectations.

Only a hand gently patted his shoulder. When he turned to look, however, he could only catch a faint outline.

Only a voice lingered behind.

"It seems that this ability is quite effective. If I wanted to, wouldn’t I be able to...?"

Liora did not finish her words, but the Divine Emperor understood her meaning.

He also understood her goal.

She was demonstrating something simple: as long as she wanted, Liora could kill him without even needing to activate the mark engraved on his body.

Even if he knew something, that unknown ability would render him unable to react.
