Liora soon suppressed these inexplicable thoughts, afraid she would develop some sort of mental illness if she were to continue.

After confirming that her practice of Return to the Origin had been successful and that she could indeed use this technique freely, she didn’t stop there.

Taking her seat near the core once more, she waved her hand.

Even more resources of the resources lying in front of her exploded, transforming into streams of invisible energy that poured into her.

More and more insights were gradually born and flowed through her mind.

The silver runes hidden within her flesh suddenly reappeared, slowly becoming even more complicated.

Under the effects of Profane Offering, Return to the Origin was brought to the next level.

This technique, which required ordinary people to spend millions of years comprehending and gathering the required materials, was being pushed to its next level in a matter of seconds.

It didn’t take long even within the River of Time’s range.

Soon, Liora opened her eyes again, looking down at her own body with a strange expression.

By now, the silver runes on her body had woven themselves into a complicated armor.

It completely wrapped around her from feet to neck, as though it was a suit.

The armor had no defensive properties.

It was merely a manifestation of the fact that she had reached the peak of this technique, fully mastering its principles.

Yet this was not what surprised Liora the most. Instead, it was the degree of compatibility between her and Return to the Origin Technique.

"Even if I have Profane Offering and the River of Time to assist me, I shouldn’t have been able to practice this technique so quickly."

"Even the Primordial Sin Art, which was merely an Archdevil Technique, did not take me such a short time..."

That didn’t mean that Return to the Origin was weaker than the Primordial Sin Art. Rather, it was that the technique suited Liora far better.

"It’s worthy of being a technique created by my future self. Whether in terms of its principles or its essence, it is perfect for me."

Liora did not know how many years it would be before the scene she had witnessed occurred.

Yet from the strength she had displayed at the time, as well as that of her opponents, she could be certain that it wouldn’t happen anytime soon. Thousands, perhaps millions of years later.

As such, she had always believed that the techniques "she" had developed would not be perfect for her current self.

After all, there was an unknown number of years between her current self and her future self.

Whether it was in terms of concepts, power, or even personality, there were bound to be some discrepancies.

But much to Liora’s surprise, there appeared to be no such issue.

Return to the Origin seemed tailor-made for her.

Likewise, by taking a brief look at the other techniques she had chosen to practice, One Across Eternity and Time Severance, Liora confirmed that this was not an isolated case.

The rest of the techniques were the same.

This realization only strengthened her initial suspicion.

She had all but confirmed a fact: future Alpha’s arrival in the present was directly related to her future self.

As for the reason...

"Do ’I’ want to give myself a reminder about that battle?"

"Or do ’I’ simply want to transfer these techniques to present me?" Liora wondered.

Unfortunately, she had no way to find an answer to her doubts.

She could only make some educated guesses, but with her lack of knowledge regarding this matter, it was highly likely that she would be proven wrong.

Therefore, Liora shook her head lightly. She pushed the matters of the future to the back of her mind.

Then, the contents of another technique surfaced.

Following Profane Offering’s activation, several materials before her exploded.

Corpses. Resources. Weapons.

Invisible streams of information were born as a result, pouring into her body bit by bit.

The techniques she had comprehended from her future self were slowly being upgraded, moving toward complete mastery.

--

With the assistance of Profane Offering and given the perfect fit between her and the three techniques, it didn’t take long for Liora to master them all.

In reality, considering the River of Time’s strange characteristics, it had taken her even less time.

Only a few moments after Liora settled near the core of the Kingdom of God, her eyes opened as her consciousness retreated from the Cosmic Sea.

An extraordinary brilliance flashed across her crimson pupils.

A long illusory river flowed across them, representing that her control over the power of time had reached another level.

More importantly, it signified that her strength had improved once again.

Liora softly exhaled.

This gain was something she had never expected. Had she known this would happen, she would have investigated Alpha’s secrets even earlier.

After taking one more look at the core of the Kingdom of God beside her, Liora lingered no longer.

She jumped into a higher dimension, using Dimensional Leap to teleport.

When her body condensed again, she was no longer within the Kingdom of God’s boundaries.

She had appeared outside, in the ancient city that had remained unchanged despite the passing of time.

Liora was alone.

When her consciousness swept out, she discovered that all the Emperors had moved away from the ancient city, clearly having learned of the Divine Emperor’s appearance and the slaughter of so many Emperors.

Liora nodded upon seeing this. The lack of potential witnesses made her next actions far easier.

Soaring into the sky, she lowered her head, looking toward the ancient city below.

In the past, although she had been extremely powerful, she had been unable to look at it in its entirety, affected by the city’s enormous size.

Now, however, her gaze pierced through time and space, allowing her to peer into every inch of it.

It no longer held any secrets in front of her.

Whether it was the formations around the courtyards or the secret spaces concealing treasures, they were unable to hide from her.

Her gaze wandered through those spaces, as though searching for something.

This state did not last long.

Only a few moments later, her eyes suddenly lit up. Her face brightened.

Dimensional Leap was activated once more as she ascended to the River of Time before lowering herself into reality.

When she opened her eyes again, the ancient city had long since vanished.

She had appeared within its depths.

More precisely, at the central hub of the ancient city, where external energy gathered to maintain its ever-lasting current state.
